Responsibilities of the Transmission Hydraulics Engineer:
  • Act as a technical specialist applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods in water transmission hydraulics, operations, modeling, and other broad engineering fields.
  • Review project documents for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Develop new techniques or improve processes, materials, or products.
  • Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
  • Supervise a team of engineers, technical specialists, and technicians.
  • Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Prepare proposals for professional services or funding for engineering projects or programs.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications for the Transmission Hydraulics Engineer:
  • 6+ years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) or Master of Science (M.S.) in a relevant engineering discipline is a plus but not required.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer by the State of Texas, or ability to acquire the license within six months if already licensed in another state.
  • Experience in InfoWater modeling.
  • Experience in water transmission hydraulic analysis, operations, and modeling.
  • Experience supervising a team of engineers, technical specialists, and technicians.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
Compensation for the Transmission Hydraulics Engineer:
  • Direct hire.
  • Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid role, only on-site Tuesdays, except for meetings).
  • Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM.
  • Pay: $88,800-$133,200/yr. (Depending on experience).
